Can gatorade be used as food coloring?

I make my own playdough so I'm wondering if gatorade could be used to color it. I usually use vegetable juice or just regular food coloring so has anyone ever tried it in place of food coloring?

no -- you do not want the sugar that Gatorade would add in your play dough.

You could try unsweetned koolaid or a similar drink mix.  Go for the cheapest one you can find since you only want the color.  Then your playdough will smell good too.
