we are going to visit thirumanancheri temple this weeak..can gents wear shirt and enter to see god in thirumanancheri temple (near kumbakonam)?and how long its from chennai?

i am not sure abt the dist frm chennai to kumbakonam(try google earth to calculate the same) and coming to dress code; i do not think they r allowing shirts and pants better wear vaishtei.e dhoti...happy journey
