Can get a logo and "boot manager...

Question

I uninstalled Norton trial and evrything went crashing . Finally decided to use restore disk. It said," disk one of 2 disks" but only one came with the purchase. I used the disk believing it would be ok. I am not computer smart and now I am using my old (windows 98) to find info. So it seems I have refomatted my disk and cannot get anything. I have Vista home premium which apparently was too advanced for me.
