Can get av1 and tv in the pip, but not as the big...

when I try to get av1 and tv as my input, I get no signal on av1 and a distorted pic when I choose tv, but both will appear fine in the PIP, but as soon as I press SWAP, they go back to no signal on av1 and distortion on tv.....Pls help.....LD ..Vizio 47 "
