Question:

Can girls handle more pain than boys?

It would somewhat make sense because girls have to go through child birth, but idk. I personally think s*x has nothing to do with it. Being able to withstand pain varies person to person. What do u think?

  1. The answers it yes.  It is of course possible for a girl to be more pain tolerable.  But for every girl that can tolerate pain, there are probably 30 guys that can withstand more.  And as the whole child birth thing, it doesnt mean that women go through more pain.  Read up on kidney stones.  Some women say that they would rather give birth to 9 more children then have another kidney stone.  Men have a smaller urethra thus more pain.  I would be willing to bet men have more kidney stones than women due to the amount of sodas men drink compared to women.  Also men having more of the physical jobs in the world whether its military or construction, fighting, and sports, men see physical pain daily.

  2. seriously you can't measure it dude.

i stub my toe and i'll cry, but when i get a shot i laugh. no joke.

    everone's reactions are varied.

but just cause we can go through childbirth doesn't mean we can handle it...

i mean they give you all those painkillers...

    hope this helps!

  3. I don't think one gender can handle pain better than the other. I think everyone has a different pain tolerance since everyone is a bit different.

  4. Women feel pain sooner than men, however, they have a higher pain tolerance. Mainly because they're biologically designed to a) bear children and b) protect said children both when pregnant and years after birth. However, due to sociological reasons women tend to complain of their pain before it is really necessary (that and some men try to hide pain or act macho while making it seem like they are in extreme pain).

  5. Well it actually depends on the type of pain; however, "the laboratory research seems to indicate that for many kinds -- but not all kinds -- of stimuli, women have a lower tolerance for pain" (www.medicinenet.com).  I hope this helps and if you are interested in finding out more, I recommend that you read the following article (where my quote comes from):

  6. It depends on how strong you are

  7. No. It depends on the person. Different people have different pain tolerances. It all comes down to the person, not ther gender.

  8. I think it varies on the type of pain.

Of course women have to endure way more pain in their lifetime than men.
