Can girls play rugby?

I'm a really tough girl, and swim season is ending. No, I'm not a l***o; becasue guys always assume that girls who play rugby are lesbians. I am joining the girls team. My brother who graduated played and had a lot of fun. I just wanted to know some views on rugby and your opioun. What are some good skills and tactics? Thank you!\

Yes.  I live in Las Vegas, my friend (a girl) used to play in a ladies' league here.

What on earth! OF COURSE YOU SHOULD PLAY, IT Should be compolsoruy in my eyes that girls should play rugby, they are so much faster than boys and will hit harder, as a boy myslef when i see my litlle sister play i thhink WEll h**l why shouldn't girls play? Rugby can be hard but you must get your head around League and Union first. Different rules. For positions. If you are solid and want to be the driving force in the pack, The front row, good kicker or short, Scrum half or Fly half, Fast runner, playmaker Winger. It all depends. Tactics, force tehm into touch ( of the pitch) Always try and tackle them so when they go down they face your goal (Turnover ball) and also if you have a scrum in there 22 try and make them collapse it and get a penalty try.

ive been playing womens rugby for 15 years.  its a great sport and my college teamates are the only people i keep in touch with, even over roomates... best decision ive ever made - to play rugby. wish i had the oppoortunities you all have now!!!   my most serious injury has been a seperated shoulder.  but im usually yhe one that hurts others.  :-(   no we're not all lesbians or even tom boys.  a lot of us are beautiful ladies... that occasionally get black eyes and bruises.  my team actually makes a s**y rugby calendar every year as a fund raiser to capitalize on our s*x appeal!  rugby has helped bring out and develop the confident woman i am today.  i am strong, confident and a h**l of a lot of fun!!!  without knowing your position, its hard to give specific skills or tactics.  just remember the basics...1) "Grab some grass and drop your ***" when rucking- go in low and strong and keep you feet moving in little choppy steps  and  2.)"baseball bat"  -when you go in with the ball... make a strong wide base, keep the ball on your back hip away from the opponent, and use your raised arm, bent at the elbow, as you drive into your opponent as a "bat"tering ram.  watch as much rugby as you can! the only real way to get good is to play and practice a ton!  best of luck!

Personnaly i find a bit wierd for women to play but hey thats just me.....dont let stereotypes stop you from doing sth u want!!!

yes.but remember you don't have pads i'm in a girls rugby team and i accidentally broke 4 girls arms.sorry girls the one that were in my rugby team.:)

I come from New Zealand it is really our main sport. Anybody can play it but you have to be willing to get hurt as my highschool has a girls rugby team but they are not to gud but the other girls they face i reckon they might eveen give the boys a run 4 their money. So i say go 4 it

Rugby is a great sport, fun to watch but dangerous.  If you've ever played football (USA) you'll understand tackling.  This is a sport of strenght and power.  You don't have to be fast.  If you're not much on being takled be a kicker.
