A pane in my aquarium cracked and its (150gl) huge so I'm just wondering if there's another option other than buy a new one.

  1. call a local glass shop and ask them for a quote to fix the pane.  you will probably need to know the approximate size of the glass to get a good estimate.  if the estimate is something reasonable, then you may have to take the aquarium to them to get it fixed.  make sure they use an aquarium grade silicone to seal it however, regular silicone can be deadly to your fish.  Also compare the estimate to what a new aquarium would cost sometimes its cheaper to go that route.  the glass company could also come out to your house if its too big to take to them but that will be a lot more labor and money

  2. It would be cheaper to have a pane cut to fit and then use the right silicone.

  3. Could maybe try epoxy, it prob. won't look to good, but you can prob get it to seal, or you could pull/replace just the broken pane of glass
