  1. Sunshine has referenced a nice theory, but with all the students I teach I have learned that they all increased their staring and diffusion with glasses. These are incorrect vision habits that squeeze our eyes out of shape and give us increased blurry vision.

Artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, surgery) don't deal with the real underlying issues of blurry vision, so we continue with the incorrect vision habits and our vision continues to deteriorate.

I'd like to talk about some of the things John said because he has thrown some truths and a bunch of half truths and incorrect statements together.

Eye exercises do not change the way we use our eyes and so are a waste of time. Perseverence in eye exercise will more than likely lead to incorrect vision habits and discouragement and more blur.

Natural Eyesight Improvement students get 20/40 glasses so that they can meet minimum driving requirements and see well enough for college and still have enough room to improve their vision.

  2. Wow, what a load of c**p from that guy. You need eyeglasses because the shape of your eye doesn't allow light to focus on the retina. The prescription your doctor gives you is basically a formula for curvature. The lenses with the correct curvature for you, will allow light to hit the retina clearing up your vision. That's it, no exercises to help. It's not like lifting weights and you change the shape of your body. Your not going to change the shape of the eye. By wearing the glasses, it is a temporary fix while you are wearing them. It won't make your eyes better or worse for wearing them.

  3. No, Your eyes just stop straining and finally relax, so when you take your glasses off it appears your vision is worse.

  4. Yes, many have lost their vision since glasses were invented some 3 or 4 hundred years ago.

Few people realize this and fall into the trap of relying on the crutch of spectacles.

What is required is a  regimen of excercises and carefully devised procedures combined with carrot eating and most of all a clear thought pattern and clean living. These things along with the belief that your eyes can and will be corrected naturally.

If it means giving up activities like driving an automobile or attending college, then so be it.

Perserverance is the keyword.  Do not let anyone discourage you.
