first of all, do not answer if you will say global warming is fake, because it is not. But anyways, do you think that if greenland melts it will be enough to stop the gulf stream, and if it does, how will it impact europe's climate

  1. How does "warming" make it colder? Someone please explain the logic behind that.

  2. Honestly I am not sure but it may be possible. I wish people would stop ignoring the facts and what's happening and focus on creating a solution...fast. It may already be too late.

  3. Global warming is real, and a natural thing.  Thats all I have to say about that.

Greenland used to have no ice or snow thousands of years ago.  Europe will be warm, and flourishing with plants and they will have great crop seasons.

  4. Possible, but unlikely, according to the present data.

That shows the disruptions to ocean currents are smaller than people feared.  The latest estimate is that this will simply slow the warming in Europe a bit.

  5. Basically, with the increased temperature, more freshwater will enter the oceans, changing it's salinity profile.  this will result in changes to the thermohaline circulation, and most probably, the closing of the NADW door.  this will decrease the strength in the gulf stream as there will not be as much of the temperature difference between the colder, deeper waters and the warmer, shallower waters.  as Western Europe is warmed by the Gulf stream, as decreases strength will equal drier, cooler conditions.

This change  will also influence weather patterns.  it basically means that most of coastal Europe will get drier and cooler, better conditions for glaciation
