  1. Global warming won't disintegrate Earth. If it happens (and I'm sure it's just a fantasy), it may exterminate us and other species. Most will survive and adapt. The Earth will change and move on.

In fact, it happened before. With and without us in the picture. We're not Earth, we're just a minor tenant.

I agree that we must be more responsible in the use of resources, fossil fuels or not. But there's not one piece of real evidence of global warming. One degree up as a result of a very complex calculation where only a minor fraction has been measured with low error instruments, some are old records from high error instruments, most are calculated by indirect assumptions and all put together through a theory that has no scientific basis nor a way to be confirmed (at least not in the near future). The accumulated error must be in the order of tens of degrees and the result is one.

But it looks good in the press... and it's a great opportunity for governments to get money for programs with not goals or measure of performance *meaning that they're always a success even if they make things worse).

  2. NO ! Now put down the Kool-Aid and go outside for a nice breath of fresh air.

  3. Go to this link:

    http://www.youtorrent.com/tag/?q=The+Gre...

And download the documentary called "The Great Global Warming Swindle"

Then get the propaganda follow up called PROOF THAT 'THE GREAT GLOBAL WARMING SWINDLE' WAS A SCAM.

Do some research into these topics:

    The year without a summer

    The Little Ice Age

    Global Dimming

    Super Volcanoes

When you look at the FACTS... FACTS AND ONLY FACTS... you will see that Global Warming is nothing but a cult being used to manipulate the small minded and perpetuate the adgendas of anti-advancement and anti-globalism political groups.

    Nothing more.

  4. No.  The earth/sun relationship has a far more pronounced affect than what we are doing.  See the Greenland ice core data at http://www.exploratorium.edu/climate/cry...

We are in a relatively minor temperature oscillation on a long, slow slide down down into another long ice age.  It's just one of a series with a 100,000 period.  We are oscillating from about 2 degrees down the roll off after the last temperature peak about 10,000 years ago.

  5. No grasshopper

  6. Absolutely...that's why the smart people hoped onto Comet Hale-Bopp.  If you hurry, I think you can catch them...

  7. Over a vast period of time, the earth has gone through stages of global warming that have led to a sulfurous atmosphere. The current trend is due to human activity.

We need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels because greenhouse gases cause an increase in global temperatures. As the globe warms, additional greenhouse gases are released as the permafrost regions melt (releasing methane).

The ability of oil fields to keep up with demand is limited. The supply of oil is getting flat, just as China and other countries are demanding much more oil.

It makes sense to cut back on oil for both economic and environmental reasons.

  8. No-------- but a nearby star going SUPERNOVA our a small black hole that migrates into the solar system and the Earth's orbit would certainly be TOUGH TIMES!

Either of the above are much more likely than any GW doomsday scenario.

  9. Yes, it can disintigrate the earth in the same manner as global warming came to existence....

    IN YOUR IMAGINATION

  10. Just heard a report that the sun will expand into a red giant in about 4.5 billion years.  At that point the earth will spiral into the sun and disintegrate.  So yes global warming will disintegrate the earth.

  11. We need to stop relying on foreign oil simply because we are enabling foreign countries to control much of our economy NOT because of some hoax created by a bitter Presidential loser.

As far as disintergrating the Earth, I don't know what disintergrate means.  I fully believe the Earth will disintegrate around 2025 after sea levels have risen so much from global warming that all of the dirt is completely saturated.  I don't think it will disintegrate so much as kind of slough off into space.  I'm sure you have played in mud before so you should be able to get the imagery.  Hope that the pile of mud you are on retains some portion of the atmosphere to keep you alive in space.

  12. My brain works, so I will continue to use fossil fuels to transport my family, heat my home and I will probably start burning drain oil in a old barrel just to stand around at night at night keeping warm and thinking about other ways I can enlarge my "carbon footprint".
