Mine seem to love them and I know most piggies wont eat what is poisonous - so I was just checking! Is there any veg that is not the usual lettuce carrot pepper stuff that your pigs like that I could try?

  1. see if the piggies like it.

  2. The tops of strawberries are actually good for them. Corn husks and silks are great. BUT...throw away the outer layer. Farmers tend to use a lot of pesticides on corn because corn itself is protected under the husks. Throw away the outer layer and wash the other layers well.

Spinach is ok once in a while, but definately not something to be given every day. Baby carrots, only give one, every other day.

You can also try tomatoes. Mine love cherry or grape tomatoes. Cilantro is also very good and high in vit. c. You can give parsley too, but not all the time as it is high in calcium.

You can give other fruits too. But only once in a while as they are high in sugar. Mine love blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, watermellon, cantalope, and apples. But again, only once in a while.

  3. I cannot think how they would harm the guinea pigs, however you might want to check with your veterinarian first, They almost always know the answer, also, guinea pigs usually like carrots, you know, like the 2-3 inch ones that come in the plastic bags, those make good treats for the pigs...

  4. no, this should not be a problem. the tops are okay

  5. Strawberry tops shouldn't be a problem. Timothy hay, some alfalfa, spinach leaves. My Dumpling's fav was corn husks. These also help keep their teeth trimmed naturally and grocers sometimes have clean trash bins next to the ears of corn so customers can husk them before they buy them. They'll be glad to give them to you for free. Just ask the produce person.

  6. my guinea pig and rabbit love the tops of pineapples you know the leaves. and they love sweed. and the pealing of potato and sweet potato.

  7. I don't no but NEVER GIVE A GUINEA POTATO PEELINGS like that girl said.
