Can gunpowder work as flash powder?

I Really need Flash Powder but I dont know where to some....

Will gunpowder work the same as flash powder

(like exploding)

  1. Gunpowder, if ball milled, will explode when confined, but will not make the bright flash that gives flash powder its name.  Under certain circumstances, you may be able to get lower quality (unmilled) black powder to make dull explosions.

    True flash powder, however, requires a metal fuel, usually aluminum powder (magnesium, titanium, magnalium, and zirconium (expensive) also will work).  The oxidizer will depend on the choice of metal - aluminum is most commonly used with potassium perchlorate, but nitrate-based flash powders exist with either magnesium and aluminum as the fuel.

    Be careful; flash powder is much more sensitive to impact than black powder is, and will explode with much less confinement.
