I plan on making a hamster bin cage with two bins on top of eachother and attached by a tube and the hamster crow nest tube, and I was wondering if they can actually climb up something this steep without slipping down. http://www.seapets.co.uk/gallery/126441.jpg

  1. yes, and to do so...they eat like crazy to get themselves fat and sort of measure them selfs by standing at the bottom and staring up! they with eventually climb up and squeeze threw until they reach the top! : ]

    i have 12 hamsters...and 21 baby hamsters..(my mumz a breeder)

  2. yeah i have the exact same cage for my hamster except its pink lol.. mine climbs up and down fine, hamsters seem to have alot of grip of their feet, because when i put a mouse in the cage it couldnt climb aswell as the hamster does. Rotastak is a very good make for these cages anyway

  3. Yes, infact the tubes have little ridges on the inside so they are like steps for the hamster to grab hold of. Make sure your hamster is small enough to easily fit through with no straining. Good luck (if you're thinking of getting a hamster)!!

  4. no doubt!!!!! if not then why would they make stuff like that??

  5. For sure! I had 3 giant cages connected together for my hamsters (their own mansion) and the tubes up and down were like 3ft and they loved climbing up and down it. It's got grips on the inside that they find easy to hold on to and climb up! Good luck with your hammies!
