  1. Syrians will fight each other to death. You can keep the babys together intill 8 week (or when they start fighting) They can not be kept together if they are older than 8 weeks!!!!

  2. syrian hamsters cannot live together even if there litter mates

    do some research buddy

  3. NO!!!!! they will kill each other!!!!!!!!

  4. Syrian hamsters are used to living alone so don't put them together or they will fight because they are solitary animals.

Here is some advice on breeding syrians, good luck with the pups!!

  5. normally hamsters dont get along in one cage unless it is both male and female. Adding another female would s***w things up. You could put one female in for a few days and then put her in another cage and then put the other female in for a few days and keep her in there. That way they can both have babys. I must warn you that the dad will try and eat the babys once they are born. Trust me it has happened to me before. I used to own 7 hamsters at a time. Once they are born, take the dad away and put him in another cage and dont mix up the two moms and all their babys because they will fight. It happened to my two females and if you mix them up with their babies, the babies will probably not survive if they dont have their own mother. So over all, you will need at least three cages. One for the one female, one for the male and female, and one to put the dad in once they have babys

  6. Even though they say some can, we have always had to end up separating them.  Once one becomes weakened in any way as it ages, the other will start dominating to where the other gets no food or drink.  Also we found that although raised exactly the same with love and handling, some of the babies bit after they grew up.  We didn't care, but I think a lot of people do.  The rescue hamsters on the table at Petco often have biting issues. That being said, the baby mice we bred and hamsters were so cute, I'm glad we did it once.  Just don't do it unless you really have time to experience the pregnancy and babyhood because it goes by so fast and if you are not home, you will miss it.

  7. Syrian babies can live together only for a short period of time. Syrian hamsters can not live together because they will get territorial and fight, sometimes to the death. You need more than one cage for more than one syrian hamster. However, dwarf hamsters can live together if in a big enough cage, but in your case, syrians can't. Sorry. Hope i helped.
