My hamster Fiesty has recently got out of her cage. I was out shopping when i came home to find that Fiesty's cage had been knocked over. I saw a cat in the kitchen and went to go look and I saw Fiesty running under the dining room table. Fiesty's cage had been torn apart but luckily I was able to fix it. I put Fiesty in her ball then fixed her cage. About after a week after the commotion I was holding Fiesty when I realized that her right pinky toe on her front paw was scabby, red, and looked swollen. I think that this injury may have happened when Fiesty's cage was knocked over by the cat. It may have also been from where Fiesty climbs on her Cyber House but I don't know. The infected toe seems very loose and I wanted to know if anyone knew if a hamster's toe nail can fall off if it's injured like humans can. I know my sister bruised her toe nail and it fell off. Fiesty can walk on her toe fine and I have been putting peroxcide on it hoping that there will be no infection.
