Can hamsters turn in rats

Question

i have a hamster and when i first got him he was normal size for a hamster and everyday i look at him he is looking bigger

I have an absolutely huge hamsters (i just Inherited him)

He is the size of a rat, I took him to the vets and she said he was very big but that he was all hamster and some can grow very big!

Just make sure he's getting lots of exercise :-)

impossible... they may turn to look like rats but they are hamsters even though some have red eyes they still are hamsters u can change the genes lol

Hamsters and rats are two different breeds. I bought a rat and when I bought her she was so small that she could hide in a boot that was supposed to be for mice (i.e. really small!!) but after just a few months she was very chubby and grew more every day. If you overfeed your hamster they will, obviously, get fatter, but it could just be the way they are, it's like that with humans too!

But I'm pretty sure there's no way a hamster can change to a different animal!! Don't worry about it, I'm sure your hamster is perfectly healthy
