Can he get his papers without me?

i am married to a jamaican and he do not have any type of papers from the us, i mean nothing . if i choose not to help him get his papers, can he still get it without my signature and support?

  1. If your husband is currently in the US illegally then there is nothing anyone can do, he must return to his home country and apply from there.

    He could then seek to find a job with a US employer who is willing to sponsor your husband for a work visa.

    Why you wouldn't help him is beyond my concern, but yes, there are ways he can help himself.

Yes he can, but it will be very hard and it will take a long time.  he can get it throught his employeer or another relative, it would be nice if you would help him, but that is your choice.... just know that also at any time once you have started the process you can choose not to continue helping him.  if you are going to help him do it because you want to and you care enough about him dont feel pressured either.
