  1. If you don't have a written lease, very probably yes.  At best you might be able to insist on being given several months' notice to quit if you can prove you have a long-standing or habitual arrangement.

  2. In the US, generally, yes he can do that.

  3. Unfortunately you had a verbal agreement with the Father and not a written one. Athough verbal agreements are binding, they would typically end upon the death of one of the parties.

  4. yes as he is officialy the new owner.

  5. You may have squatter's rights if you've never paid rent

  6. If the son is the new owner, or the representative of the estate, yes he can.

  7. Since he is the new owner, yes he can. He does have to abide by any previous agreement, such as the amount of time required for notice to evict, but since that was a verbal agreement, you'd have a hard time arguing anything about it.

  8. if he is the new owner, yes.  The agreement you had with the father is now null and void..../

  9. Depends... are you offering him any services in exchange for staying there?  Did you give you an amount of time you could definitely stay there?

Unless you have a compelling arguement as to why you should be allowed to stay, you're probably out of luck.
