Or will they not want their group "saturated" with people who aren't deaf? I know a lot of sign language.

  1. I believe they would welcome that.. if you speak sign language.. that is a good thing you can use that in a job...that's fantastic and those people will just love communicating with someone who isn't deaf..apart from that if you speak slowly and mouth  your words well a lot of them can lip read...

I think that is a fantastic idea... go for it... there are many jobs where sign language is so useful!!!x*x

  2. YES MY MOM HAS BEEN TO A  MEETING  WITH HER FRIEND WHOM IS DEAF

  3. I am sure you would be welcomed, as long as you are really going for a good reason, not just to go. If you are supporting a friend, or to support the people who do go, that's fine.

  4. I see a lot of other hearing people at Deaf socials.... it's a great way to meet people!  I will be honest, though, it's not fun trying to communicate with someone just learning ASL.  So if you've just taken ASL 1, you may want to develop the language a little more first, but if you're fluent enough to use the language with ease and able to understand everyone, then go for it.  You'll have fun!
