I too have suffered severe and the most intense nerve pain approximately 6 weeks after quitting heroin. I only snorted and never shot in my veins for about five years. The pain lasted about eight months and I did heroin the whole time hoping it would help the pain.
I have since quit for the most part but if I use once a month the pain starts almost immediatly.
