If you had the military strength with historic knowledge. Can you take over nations in a brief time. For example if you were going to war with multiple nations. Would you be able to perform acts like in Schlieffen Plan or Operation Barbarossa. Striking enemies fast and hard. Finish one then focus on the other. Also befriend a strong foe to deal with your other enemies. Then strike him with surprise and in a weak state.

  1. No, because technology and circumstances change, however history can provide the blueprint for what has worked in the past and offer "suggestions" for us today and in future generations.  The only absolution is death and taxes.

  2. History can provide the future with experience and, if the future decides to learn from that experience, it can enhance the opportunities available and counteract the disadvantages and consequences.  But, there is nothing guaranteed and nothing about the future is absolute (from a human perspective).

  3. There is no such thing as absolute knowledge,, it's all relative.
