Can horses and ducks co-habitate in the same paddock area? The ducks will be confined separately at night, but they will forage in the same paddock as the horses during the day. They will not share drinking water.

  1. Yea thats fine.  But make sure that when you feed the horses that the ducks dont get into the horses feed because the ducks like to steal the horses feed.  I have ducks in my pasture and they are fine with it.  Just make sure that the horses dont try to hurt the ducks becasue the ducks will try to bit thehorses when there not paying attention.    But over all yea they should be fine if they each have there little area in the paddock!

  2. ducks geese, chickens,,ginnea fowl are all great to have in the horse padock.  They actually break up the horse piles searching for grain and bugs, so are benificial.  ginnea hens are also excellent watchbirds for a barn
