  1. yes actually will repel flies and mosquitos from a horses skin because it excretes out through the skin.

  2. I guess it depends on the horse. My horse would snatch it up in a heart beat. I actually feed garlic powder to my horse mixed in with his grain. it acts as a natural fly repellent and is just an over-all beneficial herb. Just like with everything though you shouldn't over-feed it.

  3. A horse probably won't.

  5. Please be careful when giving horses garlic. To much garlic can cause a horse to get Heinz Anemia.

  6. From what I have read some say they can some say they can't. You can google it and read all about the differences of opinion but you ultimately will need to decide for yourself.

  7. yeah its really good for them, of course you may have to grind it and mix with their feed.  But it helps repel flies, my horse loves it.

  8. Yes race horse trainers regularly feed garlic to their horses.

  9. Yes they can, i wouldn't try to feed them the whole clove, chop it up a bit.  I give mine garlic but i use a powder form.
