Can hot salsa give you a sore throat the next day???

I know this question might be stupid, but I'm curious.

I had some margaritas and chips/salsa last night. Today my throat is killing me. I'm wondering if it was the tequila, the salsa, or both?

yup the tequila ans salsa are not a good mix tequila makes it worse
