  1. Yes they can.  Put them in the recycling box along with newspapers, tins, glass etc.


  2. i know in my area you can take them to circuit city,our recycle stations also have bins for them

  3. depending on where you live, the local council arrange to pick up things like that also including fridges, freezers, tvs etc to be recycled because of corrosive substances inside.
