  1. Yes

You have to understand that HPV-Human papillomavirus is the name of a group of viruses that includes more than 100 different strains or types. More than 30 of these viruses are sexually transmitted, and they can infect the genital area of men and women including the skin of the p***s, v***a (area outside the v****a), or a**s, and the linings of the v****a, cervix, or r****m.

So in saying all that, scientist doesn't have many cures for "virus",  just ways to slow it down.

    Be carefully!

  2. HPV never essentially goes away. You just no longer show symptoms of the virus. Just so you know, if you have s*x (even with a condom) with a person who has HPV, it is possible for you to contract it, especially if they have an outbreak of genital warts.

If you were originally diagnosed with HPV by a doctor, you should do a little bit of research on your own to see if you are experiencing any symptoms, like rough, dry bumps in your genital and anal areas. Some people have HPV and never show a sign at all. All strains of HPV have the potential to contribute to cervical cancer, so if you were diagnosed with the virus at some point in your life, stay diligent when it comes to having regular PAPs done. Some doctors say once a year, others say twice a year for HPV positive people.

So, in short, even if you're not showing symptoms, such as cervical dysplasia, there is still the potential of the symptoms recurring, even if you are having unprotected s*x.

You should talk to your doctor about the Gardasil shot.  It is an immunization against several strains of HPV. Even if you are infected with one strain already, it will still protect you from the other strains that you have not yet been introduced to. Since cervical cancer is a long term effect of HPV, it's definitely worth the time and money.

    I hope I helped.

  3. Yes it can, did they remove the damaged cells? I had an abnormal pap after I had my daughter, found out I had HPV and had a colpo done then I had another pap done 6 months later and it was still abnormal. I am pregnant again and had another one done last month and it came back normal. My doctor said the cervix is always making new cells.
