  1. I grow barley or wheat in the fall. When the plants are young I snip a few blades of grass to go in my smoothies. Some people say it is good for you and others say it is bad for you.


  2. Maybe as a bit of salad.

    You wont get much nourishment out of it. Our digestive tracks are wrong for it and we can not break down the cellulose fiber.

  3. Yes, but only if they chew it up sufficiently before swallowing it.

  4. yes, unless it's been fertilized, weed killered, and pre-emergented...... raw grass from a wild field  would have seeds that would be more to a human palate(wheat, oats).... the leafy parts would be fiber, but not much nutritionally... and it tends to make one nauseous, too....our digestive systems aren't up to digesting that kind of thing.... not happily, anyways... in an emergency situation, maybe......

  5. Probably ok if you eat a little bit. You may get some indigestion though.
