The "your friend" further down is talking about the "Monkey doctor" of the twenties or so. He tried this and found it didn't work, it's medically impossible to do. He was laughed out of practice and now, something like this is illegal and, immoral.

I remember watching a show on the history channel about this guy who was trying to bread humans and apes.  The guy took human sperm and implanted it into a group of apes.  The apes failed to get pregnant.  He was then going to take ape sperm and implant it into a woman but his testing was shut down and he was unable to finish his experiment.  The show also mentioned that humans and monkeys(not sure what type may have bread for many years on and off until our species separated far enough apart and it became impossible to naturally bread humans and monkeys.

So up until this point we have not found a way to bread humans and apes.  Maybe in the futures we will create some kind of technology that allows us to bread humans and animals together.  

Why would we want to do this anyways?  I don't know but it maybe possible in the futures.

No, our DNA is too different for other species.

No. Our closest living relative is chimpanzees, and they have a different number of chromosomes and alleles than us. Hence human and chimp sperm and eggs cannot fuse and be viable.

Possibly, but the resulting creation (human? animal?) would be infertile, showing that humans and apes are different species.
