Can humans get "cuterebra" or "bot worms"?

One of our cats has one, shes getting taken care of, but im wondering if humans can get them. They are nasty and I cant imagine having one, but is it possible? How can you prevent getting one if its possible?

  1. Im not sure, but I think you should still becareful, maybe you should do some more research on cuterebra or bot worms I would ask a doctor have could I prevent from getting it, I think the doctor might give you shots or medicine to prevent you from getting it.


  2. Don't worry; you are only at risk if you work around cattle. If your cat his a bot worm it will not spread to humans. Only a specific type prey on humans. This type preys on small mammals such as squirrels, dogs, and cats, NOT humans.
