  1. Yes! But this is nothing new. Back in the 70's (before the catalytic converter) our "hot rod" racing buddies, we would make our own by using a plastic water bottle, a fish valve (from a fish tank), and a vacuum tube with a T-fitting. One tube is inserted at one end of the bottle from top to submerg at the bottom to vent, the other is just an 1/8th of an inch from the top of the bottle connected to the accerator vacuum port.

No water is not drawn into the engine, but installing the homemade device correctly and with water less than half should cause a bubbling effect upon acceleration. Allowing only very small partical of moisture in the engine that has a "steam" effect within the combustion chamber and this would really work, even better when the shop teacher inserted some metal conducters wired to the battery causing hydrogen gas from the water. Back then we didn't have catalytic converters that can get fail as a result. The idea is the same that some cars perform better with upon a lot of moisture in the air such as fog or rain.

It's up to the auto makers to improve upon what us hot rod guys new for years.

Wait it's 2008 and they haven't made it.

  2. I'm sick and tired of these uneducated idiots that get on here every day and say hydrogen is a scam.

Yes, hydrogen will boost your mileage if you have a diesel engine.  Average improvement is 10% on passenger vehicles and almost 15% on transport trucks.  I can provide the documented facts, a list of business customers that are using it now, and a contact for supplying and designing systems for any diesel engine.

It's not HHO gas, HHO is water (H2O).  Water is cracked using electricity, breaking it into hydrogen gas and oxygen, and the hydrogen gas is used as a combustible fuel supplement to diesel fuel.

  3. Yes, hydrogen can boost your car mileage. Hydrogen in its pure form is unstable and dangerous to handle. It's the HHO gas that makes it safer and stable. You do need electricity during the electrolysis, but there are special designs that consumes less energy in this process.

There are many guides online, some probably are scams, I cant say. But there are real one which provide support and proof.

Plus, there are a number of free video on Youtube showing how people are actually using the Water for gas system to convert their car to use hydrogen, HHO gas. this gas will boost the effiecy of your engine by helping in the burning process so that the gasoline is efficiently used.

  4. There is no such thing as HHO gas.

    It doesn't exist.

It is a money scam.  Look it up.  Many people are trying to make money off this hoax.

    Sorry.

  5. I dont know why people that havent tried it call it a scam. I've installed it on my 94 GMC Sierra, I've gone from about 12 MPG to almost 26 MPG, theres a youtube video that is almost my exact same story (but not my vid, same truck and everything) that some canadian guy made if you want to watch it I put it in sources, first link.

  6. yes it can boost your gas mileage. my cousin bought the device like7 days ago  and told me he now pay half what he paid before? I was quite impressed. I didn't really believe him at first, but when we drove from Brampton to Toronto, that is like a 30 minutes drive. The gas meter didn't even moved a centimeter!I was amazed that I bought for myself, and yes this is not a scam or a hoax! I read some detail from this page and purchased it from the link. http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Save-Gas-...

  7. Yes, it can and will.

There are different types of HHO generators... most people build their own. I've over tripled my gas mileage since installing and troubleshooting my own Hydrogen on Demand Generator.

Don't pay any attention to these people who say it can't be done. Sure the end results can be argued to death - but the fact is that HHO will combust in your engine and will reduce gas mileage. Anyone who says it can't - they haven't tried it and apparently lack the education.

(Yes, it take more electricity to make it than you get in return; BUT your not using it alone. You use it as a gasoline/HHO hybrid. The gasoline supplies the friction that charges the battery. You won't run your car off HHO alone, but it will increase MPG by reducing the need for the same amounts of gasoline to achieve the same speeds/distance traveled)

If you are really interested I recommend you construct a simple generator and test it out for yourself. You can easily find plans and instructions on youtube or other sites out there WITHOUT having to pay some bogus price just to get info on the very simple process.

Go for it, you've got nothing to lose but time.

  8. I think that water to fuel thing is a scam. One major tip-off is that they do not offer to sell a kit, only plans. That way, if it doesn't work, they can always say you didn't do it right and avoid criticism. I have also heard from several reliable new sources (both liberal and conservative biased) that it doesn't work. I think even the Mythbusters proved that hydrogen did not work as a fuel for a gasoline car.

  9. I am 77 years old and heard this all my life....

  10. Not at all. Big scam. Energy is needed to get hydrogen from water. Don't waste your time with those advertisements on the internet.

  11. HHO works best with older vehicles and is the holy grail for the gas guzzling muscle cars. Newer Fuel Injection systems do not benefit and may operate poorly - ecoMPH

fyi update, only 316 Stainless Construction is acceptable, hardware store 314SS  disolves into sludge.

  12. Cycleshop, thank you.

morons out there think that internal combustion engines are 99% efficient and we can't get any more energy out of them. Think about it,

    1) we're combusting gasoline with air, which is only 20% oxygen, 70% nitrogen, of course this isn't efficient and we produce harmful NOx gases in the process.

    2) that's why we need catalytic converters, also to burn up any unburned gasoline

    3) that's why we need oxygen sensors, to allow enough oxygen to get through to the catalytic converter that it can reduce those NOx gases and combust the gasoline

    4) it is well known that a small amount of hydrogen allows gasoline to ignite and combust more evenly, therefore you need less gasoline to do the same amount of work.

    5) injecting hydrogen will provide a more complete, efficient burn that not only uses less gas, it produces fewer harmful exhaust gases.

Is it the answer? no, but it's a cheap solution that can only help.

  13. Hydrogen Hybrid Technologies is a publicly traded company that is preparing for widespread distribution of this product.  SO YES!!! It does work!

Whether YOU can make it work or not is whole other animal.  I've found myself it's not always easy.  It does work better on diesel engines than gas, but it works on both.

Don't believe me though... for all you naysayers by all means call MarketWatch a liar.

HHO is not water. H2O is water.  HHO is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen gas.  Two completely different things.  The poster above is wrong about that.   The rest of his answer is pretty accurate.  If you're 77 and you've heard it all your life it's because water injection has been around ALL of your life.  It was used on planes.  But to my knowledge, not successfully on cars until after 1979.  (Although not quite the same thing.)  When you stop learning you start dying whether physically or not.  Something to think about.  I'm not a spring chicken anymore myself.
