  1. Do not think that because a school has an acceptance grade of 3.0 that all 3.0 and up get in.  The fact is that you should be more concerned with the average grade of students getting in. 3.1 is low for and Ivy League.  On the other hand the school does not make your carrier, YOU DO.  I know plenty of professionals from top schools not doing so well.  And plenty of County Colleges Doing Great. I would suggest focus on business and math in your senior year. Good lock...

  2. It will affect you im telling you right now. Your SAT scores are solid, and you have good SAT II scores. Your GPA is going to hurt but there are a few things you can do. If the school gives you an actual interview (assuming the school requires one) you have a lot of explaining to do..

Also because you werent recommended for AP sounds bad because the 3.1 might be justified in some schools due to having a rigorous course load. Your best bet now is to apply to probably the lower ranked IVY's (ex. Cornell), and to go on collegeboard.com and match yourself. What you are looking for are schools in which your SAT scores are much higher than the level.

Here are some schools i can suggest looking into:

    NYU (hard with ur gpa)

    Cornell

    University of Pittsburgh

    Boston University

    Tulane

    Fordham

    Case Western

    Syracuse

    American

    Washington and Lee

Remmeber there are no guarantees but i think you would be matched well at some of the schools above.

  3. Unfortunately an ivy isn't going to happen. Noth taking your school's hardest classes is enough to keep you out, but a 3.1 on top of that just spells impossible.

Your great SAT score will do good things at most state schools and the vast majority of privates, just not the top 20 or so.

  4. You can.... test scores are the important thing with colleges like that, the better your test scores the better chances you got

Plus you got some outstanding extracurricular activities, try going for even more, the more the better.... talk to a conselor at your school about getting you the best possible way in to these colleges

Good Luck you are gonna do great
