  1. Yes you can as long as the child is safely restrained, and you are under instruction from someone who has held their open drivers licence for at least the last 12 months. There's nothing in the laws that state you can't learn to drive whilst there are passengers in the car as long as you have the open licenced driver with you. As long as you feel that you can handle learning to drive with your child in the car, then that's fine. Please don't learn without the open licence holder beside you, and make sure that the child is restrained

  2. That is wrong in almost every way.

  3. As long as the baby is able to steer the car to safety in the event of an emergency it is perfectly legal here in Melbourne. DMV Code 2983456 which reads:

Any person operating a motor vehicle must have an able bodoed male or female who is willing and able to oprate your car in the event of an emergency. The fine for failing to follow the above is punishment of three months in the city jail or a fine not to exceed 15% of the offenders last monthly income.

  4. As long as you don't put it on your lap. We all know what happened then don't we.

  5. For safety reasons I would not recommend that you do this.

  6. I would say if you are just learning to drive that you should keep your baby out of the car for its own protection.
