  1. if it would require you to handle a weapon then no, a felon would not be able to be issued a weapon, and most cities would not hire a felon to work within a crime lab

  3. Unfortunately no. No police officer of any sort can have a felony in their background. That doesn't mean you can't, because I leave in Texas and things are more stricter here. I would apply anyway. It could also depend on the felony you have. Hopefully it's not running away from the police, just apply and maybe the cards will play out for you.

  5. Nope, because no felons can posses a firearm even if it was for larceny.  But even if you did not need to carry a firearm they probably would still not hire y, but they might if it was for larceny or something white collar like that.
