  1. Japan does not allow dual citizenship, or at least not after a certain age.

This is why many Japanese people born in America to Japanese parents must choose Japan or USA citizen ship after a certain age.  Many choose to keep their Japanese citizenship and live permanently in the USA with green card, so they can have nearly the same benefits as a dual citizen.

If you already have two citizenships, then I suggest that is a better advantage than switching to a Japanese citizenship. I would just get a legal residency there.  But you may have different goals of course.

  2. No.  Japan does not recognize dual citizenship.  If you take Japanese citizenship then it will the the ONLY citizenship you have.  You'll have to renounce the other(s).

  3. According to what you said, you already have dual citizenship from USA and Malaysia. No point in assuming you can COLLECT citizenships based on who you marry.  No Citizenship would ever be granted to someone based on where their spouse was born.

  4. You can "respond" to your own question by adding details. The option should be under the text of your question.

As for applying for Japanese citizenship, well... Japan typically requires you to renounce prior citizenships in order to acquire Japanese citizenship, so I don't think that's gonna work for you.
