  1. If you have a medical and know your stuff, you will get hired.

The only real question is whether or not you can get a 1st class medical.  If you can, you will have no problems.  If not, you won't get hired.

  2. You will be required to obtain a SODA. Statement Of Demonstrated Ability from the Medical Examiner. You will then schedule a demonstration test with the local FSDO. This will consist of going out to the airfield with an Operations Inspector where the tower will show you 3 random lights from two different distances. The inspector will record these and either issue you the SODA or Fail you and send your paperwork back to the Medical Examiner.

  3. no you have to have perfect vision

  4. For a first class medical, which is required for airline pilots, FAR Part 67 (medical standards), Paragraph 103 (Eye), Sub-paragraph  (c) states:  "Ability to perceive those colors necessary for the safe performance of airman duties".  What this probably means is that you cannot qualify, but if your color deficiency is only marginal, you might be able to pass the test. The only way to know for sure is to consult an Aviation Medical Examiner.
