my landlord placed a general letter in my building(not on my door) where 2 other tenants live stating they were going to do evictions in my building if, you have been late on rent, have small balances owed, or has been late more than 4 times and have received a judgement. i have cleared all balances on my account, but i have never received a judgement to have to pay. also i received a summons to appear in court to answer to the late payment of rent, but that's not until next week. i guess i just need to know if the posting of this notice is legal? can i be evicted without having received a judgement in court?

  1. Sounds like you will get your judgement next week.  You can then be evicted, so your question is moot.

  2. I think so. One must pay rent or ask the government for help to help pay your rent. You see, the government will help anyone without money to pay their rents. That is how this society works. No money means government will help you out.

No job the stand in line for soup kitchen or shelter. This is a great nation for poor people. Imagine living in Asia or Africa? No money means starvation.

  3. Your landlord will most likely receive his judgment at your court date.  Start packing.

  4. It sounds like they are evicting you next week.    That will be your legal judgment.

Yes, the posting is legal and to be expected.    The sheriff will post too if they have to forcibly remove you.
