  1. paternity has to be proved

Its possible she just sent it to the wring address,I think you should get on a bus or whatever, and get this taken care of.

If hes your son don't you want to me him, take this opportunity, while he is still young you might not get it again.

  2. nope.  if her husband is on the birth certificate, he accepted responsibility for the child.  you cannot receive child support from more than one man in most jurisdictions (although you can in canada).

  3. This sounds very fishy, She can't put you up for child support unless she has the paternity test that shows that you are the biological father of the child. However it is important that you take steps to find out if this child is yours, you need to take responsibility and take steps to find out for yourself. Don't wait for her to do it. Unless you want to be owe back child support once you find out you are the father year down the road. Many states are getting tough on dead beat dad's. Some states go into your bank account and take your money, will not let you get a drivers license, will not let you get a business license and in some case you can not even get a passport.

At any rate just take steps to find out if this is your child, then you will have one less thing to worry about.

  4. Contact a lawyer not to hire hi but just to seek advice. If you call somewhere a lawyer can answer that question. You will not have to pay until the dna test is done also if she takes you to court the judge will ask her why she didnt tell you but if its your child....try to be apart of his/her life.

  5. She can't put you on as father for childsupport without a DNA test no because your name isn't on the certificate.  Until she has that paper in her hands stating you are the father there is nothing she can do about child support.  If she does try to get it then childsupport will request the order for Paternity test and they will get the results.
