  1. They have what they call  a Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO). Which are pilots that are trained by the TSA to use a Firearm on board an aircraft

That would be very difficult.  You could probably flight instruct on your free time, but if you were a professional pilot flying corporate or with the airlines, the schedules would be nearly impossible.  You would also be exhausted.  I don't think this would be realistic, and you would probably shoot yourself in very short order.  Why do you want to do this?  What kind of pilot do you want to be?  Have you heard of the schedules at either job?  Personally, I think you would be insane to even try this.  Good luck.

I don't see why not EXCEPT for scheduling.  If you're a part-time pilot or a flight instructor or something, sure.  If you're talking full-time airline pilot AND air marshall, it MIGHT be possible, but it would be miserable.  You'd live on airplanes, in airports, and in hotels.  I don't know of anybody that does this.
