  1. yes, because you can do a degree without A levels then go on to do the PGCE one year course after.

  2. Contact the teacher training agency, they will give you advise about different routes into teaching, for example access courses,. You will need to do a degree and a pgce or a four year combined teacher training degree which is the best option as you can begin teaching practice from the start of the training. Also, you ned to have gcse maths and english at least grade c to begin with. Good luck it is a rewarding career.

  3. You need a teaching degree even at primary level, it  but there are courses available, access courses, aimed at people that want to get into uni but dont have a levels, you spend a year studying and the qualifications at the end are the equivalent of 3 full Alevels, and then you can go on to do your teaching course, it may even be possible for you to go straight onto the teaching course, i'm not sure, have a chat with Learn Direct, they'll point you in the right direction

  4. I started typing up this very long 'spiel' (because I'm doing it myself so know first hand!), and when I logged onto the learndirect site, I found all this great information for you to read, about all the various options available.

So have a read, and the very best of luck!

  5. Assuming you have GCSEs at C+ in English, Maths and Science (also preferably a language) then you do an access course, then progress onto a degree in Primary Education with QTS (qualified teacher status).

Each college and uni is different, and have different entry requirements, so you need to get ringing around.

    Any more info, just ask.
