Can i boil underwear to clean it?

my friend gave me her underwear (i know kinda gross)

but i want to wear them...idk if shes has STD's or anything, lol..idk if i should just gorget it but i want to see how they look on me

ive washed them..can i boil them in hot water to be sure?

you wash them in hot water and if you aren't sure put a little bleach (1/3 cu and that should work) take care its not that you will get stds you have to have s*x to get that not through clothes

Detergents will kill the bacteria BUT may or may NOT be effective against all viruses. However high temperatures denature the virus's protein coating completely killing them, so yea u would be safe after a good boil.

I will probably work because hot water can kill germs. Also it would probably help if you have detergent or bleach (you could always just wash them in a machine)

washing them should be fine also, stop by a free clinic in order to be educated on how std's and hiv is transmitted.

bleach or alcohol.........not the acohol you drink...just in case...that would be alcohol abuse...and i agree, u cant get STD thru clothes, you have to bump nasties to get it...

Depending what kind of fabric they are made of, high heat and bleach can damage them.  Adding a half cup of vinegar to the wash water, and hanging them in the sunlight to dry would kill anything you can catch.
