Can i book a tatkal ticket from starting point to a station other than last station?

example:- train from bangalore to delhi(via gwalior). can i book from bangalore to gwalior?

you can not book a tatkal ticket up to your destination but you can get down or you can request in the form reservation up to gwalior. the fare will be collected for banglore to newdelhi only . you can also change the boarding point also but the fare will be collected from starting point to destination point of the train.

in some trains they have tatkal quota for particular station you can check this in irctc.co.in. website which is call now pool quota .
