That depends.  Is breaking wind your usual means of communication?  Breaking wind is always done in context.  You are usually letting her know what your intentions are.  If you're planning on taking her to the local Taco Bell for baked beans then breaking wind is the best way of cluing her in on where you'll be going.  I say go for it!  Good clear communication is so important when it comes to making a good impression.

Also don't forget that by breaking wind AND asking the woman out for a meal at THE SAME TIME is huge in a woman's eyes because you're demonstrating some thing all women can do and most guys are not able to do.  MULTI-TASK!
