  1. It can go in your checked in luggage, not the carry on.

  2. It can go in the checked luggage, but BE CAREFUL.

I went down to the Caribbean for fishing and I packed my filet knife.  The bag was heavy, but not overweight.  The knife was in its sheath and packed with my clothes.  The knife slipped out of the sheath while it was being loaded on the plane.  It poked through the bag and cut one of the baggage handlers.  It cut him on the inner thigh - bad enough to require stitches.  They confiscated the knife.

  3. proberbly not. you know how security are these days. actually, there proberbly is a way but i dunno how! sorry.

  4. If it is your checked baggage, I do not see a problem. However, call the airlines to see what the rule and/or  law is about it. Just to be on the safe side.

  5. if the guards get in your way...you know what to do...

  6. Mail it home to yourself.  Don't risk it.  They are very stricked and if they check it they will make you mail it anyway.

  7. You can, but you need to notify the airport that you are checking it in. I would also call each airport you are traveling through just to make sure because you are traveling international.

    Good Luck!

  8. You will want to call the airline for specifics but it is normally fine as long as it is kept in a sheath or original box.
