  1. Airlines allow only domestic household pets to travel in the passenger cabin. These pets must remain in a kennel that is small enough to fit under a seat. Unacceptable pets, such as snakes and lizards, must travel in the pressurized cargo compartment with larger animals.

    Cats and dogs are the only types of pets accepted for travel on  Airlines. They maintain the right to refuse acceptance of any animal that is exhibiting aggressive behavior.

    Pets traveling in the cabin require a reservation to ensure no more than 7 pets are booked on any single flight. For this reason, it is recommended that you make arrangements in advance

    Allowed Travel Destinations

    Domestic flights within the 48 contiguous United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Croix.

    From the U.S. to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean provided the country of arrival permits entry.

    Carry-on pets are NOT ALLOWED to/from Hawaii or Transatlantic/Transpacific or Central and South America.

    Checked Pet Within and between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

    For all other locations, contact Reservations.  For tickets issued prior to May 21, 2008:

    $100 USD

    For tickets issued on or after May 21, 2008:

    $150 USD per container

    Fees for travel NOT within and between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean may be obtained from Reservations.  

    Cabin Pet Within and between the United States and Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean provided the country of arrival permits entry.

    NOT allowed to Hawaii.  For tickets issued prior to May 21, 2008:

    $80 USD per container

    For tickets issued on or after May 21, 2008:

    $100 USD per container  

    Assistance animal traveling with a disabled passenger (such as seeing eye dog)  Any destination with the exception of The U.K. No fee.
