It depends whether your dvd player supports avi format. If it doesn't, you must convert it into dvd vob file. The most effective converters would be ConvertXtoDVD. Its a great converter. Enjoy dude..

Yes, you have to convert your AVI file to DVD format at first, otherwise it cant be played on normal DVD player. If you don't know how to convert and burn video to DVD, here is a step by step guide for you, it works nice.
