Can i burn dvd on my dvd/cd-rw E: ?

hi there, i have a lector that read dvd and cd, i can burn cd,and watch dvd movies but can't burn dvd.

I dont know if that can be fixed by a software or somthing.

here the discription of my lector name: hl-dt-st cdrw/dvd gcch10n cdrom , type:DVD/CD-ROM DRIVES.

  1. No way!!It's the matter of hardware. If you have the hardware that can write DVD's then only the importance of software comes. Currently you have a combo drive which has the capability of reading CD, DVD and writing CD only. The working depends upon the hardware. And you cannot fix it using any software.
