  5. I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

    1. Download ConvertXtoDVD from vso official site here:

    http://www.vso-software.fr/products/conv...

It can convert any video file.. like

avi, divx, xvid, mov, mkv, flv ,youtube,  mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg-, nsv, dvr-ms, tivo, ts, ifo, vob, asf, wmv, realmedia, rm, rmvb, ogm,

    2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

    3. Insert blank DVD

    4. Click "Convert"

    5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,

for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.

  6. It actually depends on your DVD player.. can it actually play AVI files?

  7. Yes, you can. However, you need a video conversion tool to convert avi to DVD format. Then the DVD players will identify the videos and play them. I am using Solid AVI to DVD Burner. You can get it from http://www.topviewsoft.com/AVI_DIVX_to_D... . Just for your consideration. Good luck!

  8. Nero does it automatically for you - just choose the files, whether they're avi, mpg, wmv or whatever and burn as a playable DVD.

If you do decide to use Nero, make sure you burn at the lowest speed possible, because some DVD players have problems if the DVD's are burnt at a fast speed.

  9. You could always buy a DVD player that is mpeg-4/xvid/divx compatible. All you would need to do then is burn the .avi files directly to DVD. I can fit about 5 or 6 on a disc and it saves time converting them.
