Can i buy a blackberry and not have the internet installed on it?

i really just want the look of the phone just to call and text people without paying the 80 dollars a month for email service that i dont use! can i do that?

You can, but that would be useless.  Especially if someone ask to see your email or internet feature, then you get to explain why you dont have it?  There are many other cool phones with cool featuers that doesnt require data.

It depends on which wireless provider you are with. In the US I believe with Verizon, Sprint and Alltel a BlackBerry data plan is required for new activations. T-Mobile and AT&T don't require this.

Yeah just talk to one of the guides with your phone company, they will get you the plan that suits you. I have the Blackberry and thats all I do is talk and text.
