Can i buy a car without a driver license? and can it be register without a license? ?

I have good credit and want to buy the car for my brother but i will be also driving once i get my license in a few months, so is it possible for me to buy the car in my name only and register it and everything? thnaks. and can it be register without a license? I'm a iLLINOIS resident.?

It doesn't address the question of insurance directly.  If you need to show your proof of insurance card to register, you might have some problems there since an unlicensed driver can not get insurance.

Most States require insurance to register a vehicle. Insurance companies require a license to issue insurance. If your Brother will be driving it, make sure he is listed on your policy.

unlicensed drivers can get insurance, it just costs an arm and a leg. my license was suspended and I had insurance the whole time. I would suggest if you were going to have a license in a few months wait. you will probably have more trouble finding a financier for a car than registering it. The financiers only have to go by law when offering opportunity to get a loan not issuing a loan after risk is assessed. There is a lot of risk in loaning money on a car to a person without a license.
