Well if you have the skills and knowledge/friends with knowledge then you could consider converting it to electric. But of course it would cost $6000+ and would only have a range of 30-40 miles per charge. Basically if you want it to run on something else, find out how to do it yourself, have somebody who specializes in that kind of thing, or just get a new car.

Try this,

Step One: Using a reciprocating saw, cut a 2 foot by 2 foot hole in the floor in front of the drivers seat.

Step Two: Shift the car to nuetral.

Step Three: Put your legs through the hole to the ground.

Step Four: Yell, "Yabba dabba doo!"

Step Five: Run as fast as you can.

Yes.  Get a scooter and put it in the rear storage area.  Take it out whenever you have to go somewhere.
